Leonard Mark - Assistant Program Manager
Leonard Mark, or just Mark which is his preference, joined the team in 2011. Like Alpha he graduated with a degree in Cultural Anthropology and Tourism and has worked in various National Parks around Tanzania as a tour leader and safari camp manager.
Mark loves to learn about different cultures, reading books and listening to music. He is a lively member of the team and loves the weekly barbecues!
Rehema Saidi - Caterer
Rehema used to work in a 5-star hotel in Zanzibar, but after tasting her cooking we offered her a job! She joined the team in 2008 and ever since she has been serving the most delicious treats to the Dar students! Rehema believes food is an integral part of the Work the World experience and encourages students to try many local recipes, with ugali and fish being one of her best loved dishes.
Rehema is very good at hair braiding, so if you have long hair and want to embrace your time in Tanzania, let her show her talents!
Neema Kimaro - Housekeeper
Neema joined Work the World in 2011 and is is responsible for keeping the house clean and comfortable for all students. She also supports Rehema in the kitchen, putting her previous experience in luxury hotels to good use.
Neema loves reading and watching movies but also really enjoys spending time with the students, particularly building on her English language. She will offer lots of tips on where to buy all the best local souvenirs, paintings and clothing.
