WHAT IS AN OVERSEAS RADIOLOGY INTERNSHIP WITH WORK THE WORLD?

A radiology internship abroad is a hospital placement you can undertake in a low-resource radiology department in the developing world (we cater to radiotherapists too).

You’ll see just how different a healthcare system abroad can be from your own, while getting experience with practices and conditions you’ve never seen.

We have many radiology internship programs available for you to choose from. You pick which destination you want to travel to and let us know your clinical interests. We’ll then completely customize your radiology internship program to suit you.

You’ll help scan for and diagnose unfamiliar conditions, learn techniques like developing X-rays on film, and see how sociocultural factors affect the manner in which local staff go about their practice.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

Our volunteering internships are designed to set you (and your resumé) apart from the large number of radiology students graduating yearly.

On one of our internship programs, you’ll:

  • Expand your clinical knowledge and skill set
  • Develop your confidence and resourcefulness
  • Build your personal and professional network
  • Sharpen your verbal and non-verbal communication
  • Become more attractive to employers

Your hospital placement runs Monday to Friday. That means you have plenty of free time during evenings and weekends to explore an amazing country you might not have the chance to visit again.

Who are we?

You can also travel if you are already graduated. However, please note that our placements are educational in their nature and designed to give you experience in a low-resource hospital setting under the supervision of local qualified professionals.
