If you’ve been paying attention to our social channels, you’ll know that we ran a photo competition at the end of 2017.
Entrants were in with the chance of being awarded a £250 Amazon voucher, or a signature Work the World hoodie as a runner-up prize.
From scrubs to Safaris, we’ve had hundreds of inspiring entries.
Now, it’s time to announce the winners!
Nandu Pillai, Dar es Salaam, Physiotherapy student at University of East London
We love how Nandu’s photo atop Kilimanjaro shows off the travel opportunities an overseas trip with Work the World presents. The fact that he managed to wave a Work the World flag from the highest mountain in Africa was the icing on the cake.
You can read more about Nandu’s experience in Tanzania here.
Erica Patterson, Anuradhapura, Physiotherapy student at Monash University
Erica’s photo showcases one of our favourite spots in Sri Lanka, Adam’s Peak. Adam’s Peak is known for its "sacred footprint", a rock formation near the top which is said to be a footprint of the Buddha.

Gemma Downs, Takoradi, Adult nursing student at UCLAN
We were instantly won over by the authenticity of the smiles in Gemma’s photo. Gemma added that the photo was taken on her favourite day during her time with us in Ghana!
Her photo captures a real moment and encapsulates everything great about a Work the World placement: meeting new people and making memories in new healthcare setting.

A great big thank you to everyone who took the time to enter, and congratulations to all our winners!
