On a nursing internship in Cambodia, you’ll work with tropical infectious diseases you’re unlikely to have come across before, like malaria, tuberculosis and dengue fever. It will also become apparent that a significant number of patients present conditions at critically advanced stages, which is often due to high healthcare costs and distances to care facilities. Once off the wards, you’ll explore Cambodia’s thriving capital, Phnom Penh and the surrounding areas. Think ancient Buddhist temples, aromatic street food, colorful wooden boats adorning the Mekong river, and golden tropical beaches. Read what our students think below!
