Further afield you can head to Apo Island to see the giant turtles, travel to Bais for some whale shark spotting, or across to Siquijor island to watch the famous witchdoctors work their magic.

In addition to your main placement in Dumaguete, a week in the beautiful rural coast town of Bindoy offers a once in a lifetime experience. In the mornings you’ll work in a local clinic to learn about healthcare in an even lower resource setting than your city placement.
