Are you undertaking a placement with Work the World this summer? Or have you completed your placement with us in the last 6 months?
This is your chance to showcase your experience, share your story, and win a full refund of your registration fee!
Whether it was a life-changing moment on placement, a cultural experience that opened your eyes, or a fun memory with fellow students, we want to see it!
How to enter
- Create a short video (max 60 seconds) highlighting your experience.
- Make sure it's filmed in portrait style, which is perfect for TikTok or Instagram Reels.
- Submit your video using the form below.
One winner will be chosen to receive a 100% refund of their registration fee. The deadline for submitting content is 31st August 2025, with the winner being announced no later than 5th September 2025.
Submission guidelines
- You can submit up to three original videos.
- Videos should be under 60 seconds, in portrait format, and free of watermarks.
- We love seeing Work the World branded clothing in your clips!
- Avoid copyrighted music and get consent from anyone featured.
- You should refer to our ethical content creation guide when creating your video(s).
Looking for inspiration?
Here are some suggested video themes to spark your imagination:
- “It’s the First Day of My Placement, and I’m Feeling…” followed by “It’s the Last Day of My Placement, and I’m Feeling…” - Reflect on your personal growth and journey.
- “A Day in the Life on My Elective/Placement” - Show your daily routine.
- “What the Chefs Prepare in the Work the World House” - Celebrate the delicious meals cooked by our in-house chefs.
- “3 Things I Did Outside of My Elective/Placement” - Cultural activities, weekend trips, or memorable local moments.
- “What to Expect During an Overseas Placement in [Your Destination]" - Tips, insights, and a peek at what future students can expect.
- “3 Reasons I Chose to Do My Overseas Placement with Work the World” - Share what made you choose us.

Who can enter the competition?
To enter, you must currently be on a Work the World placement or have completed one within the last six months.
What’s the prize?
The winner will receive a full refund of their original registration fee!
How do I enter?

How many videos can I submit?
You can submit up to three videos, as long as each one is original and unique. Each video counts as an individual entry.
What kind of videos are you looking for?

Where will the winning video be shared?
Your video may be featured on our social media channels, website, or other marketing materials. By entering, you give us permission to use your video for promotional purposes, even if you don’t win.

The Work the World head office team will choose the winner based on creativity, originality, and overall quality.
