Joseph Anane - Program Manager
Joseph joined us in 2010. Born in Kumasi, which is in the Ashanti region of Ghana, he is one of nine children and knows how to balance a busy house!
Before joining Work the World, Joe graduated in Political Sciences and worked in the tourist industry, part of which was working with US students. In his spare time he enjoys listening to music, reading and watching basketball.
Ezekial Ankutsitsia - Program Representative
Ezekiel joined us in 2011. Originally from the Volta region in Eastern Ghana, he has a HND in tourism and has worked with the Ghana Tourist Board and Ghana Tourist Development in a range of roles. Outside of work he enjoys reading, traveling and watching movies.
Ezekiel completes the airport pick-ups and orientations for students on their arrival into Ghana. He is happy to use his tourism experience to give advice and support to students during their stay.
Alhassan Abdul-Salam - Housekeeper
Alhassan is in charge of cleaning and general house maintenance, and we keep him very busy! He grew up in the Upper East Region of Ghana and is now married to Ishah Nuhu and has 2 children, Ibrahim and Abiba. Like most Ghanaians, he loves football, but he also enjoys cycling and athletics. His preferred meal is yam and palava sauce.
Ophelia Osei - Caterer
Ophelia has been with us for many years and is a much loved friend to many of our previous students. She lives near the Work the World house with her husband, a local banker, and holds a Higher National Diploma in Hotel, Catering and Institutional Management.
Before joining Work the World in 2007, Ophelia worked as a cook at Ray Bow Hotel, Sanaa Lodge Hotel, Sasakawa Lodge, Central Regional Hospital and the Ghana Standards Board. She knows how to cook all manner of delicacies, both Ghanaian and Western. You will not go hungry!
