Sunday 7 April was recognised around the planet as World Health Day. Like every year, the World Health Organization (WHO), which celebrates the anniversary of its creation, chooses a problem to address and develop various activities. This time hypertension was selected because it is a disease that affects one out of three adults and that many do not know they have it because they do not always show symptoms. Mendoza joined WHO's campaign by organizing an event to increase awareness at Parque San Martin.

The Midwifery and Nursing Training College in Sekondi, Takoradi plays an important role in the training of healthcare professionals in the western region. Most graduates from this college practice at the regional hospital, which serves as the main centre for the Work the World elective programme in Ghana.

February went by so quickly! Good thing too, gone are the winter chills and here in Nepal we welcome a brand new spring.
Besides the cold red noses and roses in February, we had a big move. Having had the old house for more than 3 years we have now moved in to a new, 26 occupancy, 3 story house. Moving places can be hectic but this was exiting as we were deciding, designing and doing all sorts of things to create an atmosphere for students which is a home from home.
